As the world’s largest free hot-air balloon event, this beloved tradition draws more than 150,000 spectators each year to witness the breathtaking spectacle of over 100 colorful balloons soaring into the morning sky. 

Since its inception in 1982, The Great Reno Balloon Race has become a cherished community event, passed down through generations and celebrated by families across the region. From the magical Super Glow Show before dawn to the thrilling Mass Ascension and competitive balloon races, the event offers unforgettable experiences for attendees of all ages.
